Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-invasive, hands-on approach to disorders related to the spine, nerves, muscles, connective tissues and joints of the body; the Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal system. Low back and neck pain are the most common reasons that people will seek chiropractic care but it is also very effective for other areas of the body including shoulders, knees, hips and ankles. Any area with muscles nerves and joints (that's all of them!)
Treatment may include spinal adjustments but may also include "muscle-work" or soft-tissue therapy. In particular we utilize Active Release Techniques (ART) and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy. Treatment may also include supportive, corrective or rehabilitative exercises, electromodalities or low-level laser therapy. Unique treatment plans are created for each patient after careful examination and consideration of their needs.

As doctors of chiropractic we pay attention to research, and practice in an evidence based manner. We endeavor to find the source of the pain and not just treat the symptoms. We are committed to consistently taking continuing education courses to broaden our skill set.
Chiropractic care involves educating patients on self-care and lifestyle strategies that can optimize their mobility and health. It also involves educating patients on the nature of their injuries and what they should expect over the course of treatment.
Chiropractic care is a way that you can come to understand the nature of your injury, take an informed role in treatment and prevention and get back to an active lifestyle as soon as possible. Doing the same thing week after week for months and months does not fall into our definition of chiropractic.
